about me

I’m a happily and luckily employed twentysomething, working for the USDA Forest Service in California.

Originally from New Mexico, I miss the green chile enchiladas and sunsets, but I’m learning to love the dramatic landscapes of the Sierra Nevada mountains and forests. I recently finished graduate school in New York City, so life in the foothills of the Sierras has been quite the transition. Nevertheless, I’m enjoying settling in to my new house with my significant other and our two cats.

Since I’ll be discussing policy & public lands, I’ll establish a little bit of my background here. I have a Masters in Public Administration in Environmental Science and Policy, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology. I’ve worked in laboratory settings, state government, nonprofits, and most recently, the federal government.

It should be noted than any thoughts I express here are my own, and in no way express the views of my employer, nor do they reflect any commitment on my employer’s part.
